30 things I’ve Learned by 30
Seeing as I’m almost 31 (hi my gemini friends!), I figured it was about time I finally sit down to write this ’30 things I’ve learned by 30. This is particularly fun, because after writing this, I went back and read my VINTAGE blog post, 20 on 20’s that I wrote back in 2014. While a lot has changed, some things haven’t! I’m going to get straight to the point on this one, here are 30 things I’ve learned by 30!
30 Things I’ve Learned by 30!
- Reading is cool.
- Learning is cool.
- Health isn’t black and white.
- There is no finish line when it comes to your health.
- Friends should add value to your life and bring you good energy, not deplete you.
- Money doesn’t grow on trees. SAVE.
- Time is precious, we truly do need to take advantage of each moment.
- Growth happens outside of your comfort zone.
- It’s never too late to make a career change.
- Never settle, especially when it comes to relationships.
- Love yourself FIRST.
- Life as you know it can change in an instant.
- Stop trying to impress or seek approval from other people, and rather impress yourself.
- There is life outside of social media.
- Think before you speak.
- I’m not perfect, and in fact I ALWAYS am striving to be a better version of me, each day.
- Don’t surround yourself solely with people who agree with you.
- Listen to your gut.
- Do things for YOU, not for the ‘gram.’
- Life isn’t a competition.
- On that note, there’s not a limited amount of success to go around, lift others up and celebrate their wins.
- Happiness is something you choose, not something you will attain with things, accomplishments, etc.
- When you look for the good, the good gets better. Having a positive mindset is something you have to work on daily, and you should treat your mind like a muscle.
- And on mindset, the only thing you can control in life is your mindset.
- Health is truly wealth – take care of your body.
- The most growth typically comes out of putting yourself in and getting through uncomfortable conversations. Growth happens outside of your comfort zone.
- Nothing is permanent, so be present in each moment and be adaptable to change.
- Having a morning routine is everything and can truly set your day, week, month, year, etc. up for success.
- Gratitude allows you to see the beauty in everyday things and is life changing.
- Time is the most valuable asset you will ever have, be cognizant of how you’re using it!
That was short and sweet, just like life! I’ve learned that the days are long, but the years are short. I like to think that with each birthday, I choose to live more intentionally. I like to zero in on how I’m spending my time, who I’m spending it with, and where I’m going. I don’t fret getting old either, because I’ve found that each year just keeps getting better! I continue to feel more confident, aligned and living in my purpose, and I hope the same for you. Hope you enjoyed!
Lot’s of love!
xoxo
